The innovation team of Promitec Santander S.A.S will present next Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 10:15 AM in the B314 of the International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF for its acronym in English) in Atlanta GA, the research carried out on the impact of mixtures based on humic acids and essential oils as growth-promoting agents in the productive performance of broiler chickens in the Middle Tropical region of Colombia (The impact of humic acids and essential oil based blends as alternatives of growth promoter agents in productive performance of broiler chickens in the Middle Tropical Region of Colombia).<\/p>

<\/p>

The presentation will be given by Mr. Joaqu\u00edn Fernando Pirateque Castellanos, Promitec’s Innovation Veterinarian, who will represent the company and the innovation team at this important event that is part of the International Production & Processing Expo 2019 (IPPE International Production & Processing Expo). This presentation will show the results obtained from a field test in which five mixtures of essential oils and humic acids were evaluated against synthetic growth-promoting agents.<\/p>

<\/p>

Mr. Joaqu\u00edn Pirateque will also present a poster (P312) in the lobby of B313 on Monday, February 11 at 4 PM and will be on display from noon on Monday, February 11 until Tuesday the 12th at 1 PM where he will be available to answer any questions or expand on its content on: Effect of the addition of humic acids alone and in mixture with essential oils as growth promoters of broiler chickens in the Middle Tropical Region of Colombia (Effect of the addition of humic acids and essential oils based blends as growth promoters in broiler chickens in Colombian Middle Tropical Region).<\/p>

<\/p>

These two works present the future of broiler production in Colombia, by technically demonstrating the favorable results of the use of natural feed additives as substitutes for synthetic growth promoters; which in turn will positively impact public health by minimizing antimicrobial resistance in chicken consumers, rediscovering new paradigms of how we interact with what we consume and how we produce it; and with chicken producers by improving their feed efficiency by producing more meat with the same amount of feed, contributing to reduce the environmental impact of poultry farming globally.<\/p>
